J.Bird has been looking at people "funny" since 2007.

Below you will find information on hiring her for events or creating a gift caricature for someone special.

Gift Caricatures:

Would you like a caricature done as a gift? Then consider having J.Bird do it from a photograph for the ultimate surprise! The prices for a commissioned caricature are different than having one done "in person". Since the caricature is done from a picture J.Bird will take extra time to complete it.

Prices are as follows:

B&W head only: $50.00      Color head only:  $75.00        B&W with body: $125.00       Color with body: $175.00

                              

 

Picture Requirements

What kind of pictures does J.Bird need?

You don't have to have professional pictures for the artist to use as reference. However nicely lit and composed pictures are required to capture the personality of your gift caricature.

Samples of good pictures for the artist to work from:

            

  • good detail of face and features
  • good color detail
  • entire face is visible
  • good exposure
  • no pixelation

 

Samples of BAD pictures that cannot be used by the artist:

 

        

  

 

 

  • too bright 
  • "red" eye
  • bad crop
  • too much pixelation
  • bad angles
  • too dark
  • blurry
  • lack of details for facial features
  • eyes are closed

J.Bird has the right to reject any picture deemed not suitable to work from.

What to expect

All commissioned caricatures are 8x10 in size unless otherwise specified when ordering.

Proofing at various stages (as time allows) so you know what your are getting and so you can make adjustments with the artist.

 Pet caricatures are a new product and service being offered by J.Bird. Want a special portrait of your favorite pooch done in "caricature" style? J.Bird will work off of a picture of your pet and do a special portrait in this style.
